Elsewhere in the 10th congressional district, another straw poll is conducted, and a different candidate comes out on top. By a lot:
A reader also reminds me that back in 2012, Del. Bob Marshall won the Manassas Tea party poll by a thumping 45 points over George Allen.
Marshall went on to lose the 10th congressional district to Allen by an even more impressive 51 points, but lost Manassas City by only 20 points.
Again, straw polls are usually not worth the straw used to conduct them. And are they omens? Yes. Of more straw polls.
