A reader also reminds me that back in 2012, Del. Bob Marshall won [2] the Manassas Tea party poll by a thumping 45 points over George Allen.
Marshall went on to lose [3] the 10th congressional district to Allen by an even more impressive 51 points, but lost Manassas City by only 20 points [4].
Again, straw polls are usually not worth the straw used to conduct them. And are they omens? Yes. Of more straw polls.
