State Sen. Steve Martin has been in the state senate since 1994 and was first elected to the General Assembly in 1988; however, the chairman of the Education and Health Committee is as eager as ever to return to the Senate and fight for job creation, the unborn, and quality education that leads to jobs.
While Martin received a rare endorsement from the Virginia Society for Human Life, he was equally unsurprised that the Richmond Times-Dispatch endorsed one of his opponents. Martin said it would have been a surprise for the paper to have endorsed him, considering they’ve only done so once (1995) in his senate career.
