[1]State Sen. Steve Martin has been in the state senate since 1994 and was first elected to the General Assembly in 1988; however, the chairman of the Education and Health Committee [2] is as eager as ever to return to the Senate and fight for job creation, the unborn, and quality education that leads to jobs.
While Martin received a rare endorsement [3] from the Virginia Society for Human Life, he was equally unsurprised that the Richmond Times-Dispatch endorsed one of his opponents [4]. Martin said it would have been a surprise for the paper to have endorsed him, considering they’ve only done so once (1995) in his senate career.
