Hypocrats
By Brian Kirwin | Thursday, August 20th, 2009 | PolicyCouldn’t find a more fitting term. See, I have a problem with the namecalling and hyperbole in some of these town meetings. The difference is I didn’t only start having a problem with it on January 20, 2009.
“Somebody has to say it, and I’ll say it. I’ve called George Bush a terrorist” That was Cindy Sheehan.
Did Barney Frank ask her what planet she lived on?
In 2007, George Soros said this about America after George W. Bush:
“We have to go through a certain deNazification process.” Soros
I haven’t seen, heard or read a single Democrat candidate, blogger or elected official denounce Soros for that. For some reason, from 2001 to 2009, Democrats were fine with calling anyone with the middle initial W a Nazi. If I had a dollar for every time a lefty brought up Nazi Germany and the Patriot Act in the same sentence, I could pay off the national deficit.
Suddenly, it bothers them now.
For most of the Bush Presidency, I had to listen to lefto-freakos tell me that George Bush knew about 9-11 before it happened. Google it. The websites are still up. Did Democrats defend Bush? Yeah right.
So now when Democrats propose to run health care like they run the post office, and BAM! suddenly citizens who have an opinion are called every disparaging name by Democrats who dined on the nutcakes in their own party on their way to power.
Hypocrats….

What, no mention of the “Clinton Body Count” websites or Jeff Gannon? As for Barney asking Cindy, there’s a direct question / timing / immediacy angle that you are surely aware of but conventiently ignore.
However, Barney has laid into the strident “Code Pink” anti-Iraq-war-debacle protesters who showed up at a commerce/bailout meeting:
_____
Frank was forced to stop Geithner’s opening statement to address the protesters, and he made it clear how he felt. “Will you please act your age back there? Stop playing with that sign. If you have no greater powers of concentration, then you leave the room,” the congressman said. “We’re trying to have a serious discussion which will include, as you understand, a lot of criticism. We really need people to grow up. I understand that there are some people for whom rational discussion is not an appropriate means of expressing themselves. You are entitled to do that in general, but not in a way that interrupts those of us who are trying to have rational discussions. So the next one that holds a sign will be ejected. I do not know how you think you advance any cause to which you might be attached by this kind of silliness.”

To state the obvious, anyone maroooon throwing around “Nazi” slurs should be ridiculed. From the townhall video and pictures i’ve seen, there has been a lot of Townhall maroooon protesters dropping the Nazi slur bombs lately. Barney did quite well with the Larouche fool the other day. You should be giving Barney some props for it, not taking a swipe at him. Unfortunately for the non-shrill Townhall protesters, these crazy Larouche people are unfairly coloring the more sane protesters. But they are not alone. When Foxnews, Dobbs, Beck, GOP, …. continue to poke the hornets nest base with a stick, you dont know what you’re gunna get.
Having said that, whats interesting here is the marooons’ use of the Nazi slurs on both the Left and Right. The shrill peeps on the Left who used the “Nazi” slur against Geedub and Cheney were against…..
1) a defensive, pre-emptive, offensive invasion of Iraq
US-operated black sites
2) a war where 4200+ US troops were killed
3) untold hundreds of thousands of Iraqis were killed
4) 4+ million Iraqi refugees fleeing to neighboring countries
5) the resulting ethnic cleansing of Baghdad
6) the sunni / shia / kurd / baathist civil war the resulted
7) Iraqis were tortured and killed while in US custody
9) the outing of a CIA agent
10) the scrapping of the Geneva Conventions
11) retroactive immunity legislation passed to protect people who had operated under the admin’s direction
12) waterboarding, which the admin admitted to
13) Iran’s wet dream of having their arch enemey removed on the US’s dime
14) Iraq becoming an unofficial satellite of Iran
15) the $1 trillion – to – $3 trillion price tag
16) the increased radicalism of the muslim world against the US as a result
17) 3 / 4 / 5 + tours for the troops
18) the admin’s cherry picked intel to bolster the defensive invasion
19) warrantless wiretapping and punting on the FISA court
The shrill Townhall maroooons on the Right who are using the “Nazi” slur are protesting against….
1) a possible, gubmint public option that could provide healthcare coverage to more of the uninsured
Congratulations, Foobar. You’ve joined the hypocrats who defend calling Republicans Naxis but criticize calling Democrats the same thing.
Sorry BK, but your reading comprehension skills are lacking. “To state the obvious, anyone maroooon throwing around “Nazi” slurs should be ridiculed.” “…. shrill peeps on the Left who used the “Nazi…”. Try better.
Did you know that George Soros speaks the international language Esperanto
His family changed its name in 1936 to Soros which means “to soar” in Esperanto. The whole Soros family spoke this new planned language.
The Soros name change was an effort to protect the Jewish family from the rise of fascist rulers. Young George Soros survived the fascists and then the communists and in 1946 defected to the West by using an Esperanto youth conerence abroad.
Subsequently George Soros became a multi-billionnare through Esperanto.

I might not be able to read, but I can count. 19 to 1.
Not defending anyone Brian. I’m simply comparing the nazi slur nutters on the LEFT to the nazi slur nutters on the RIGHT. What i find fascinating is the motivation of these 2 nutter groups. The RIGHT’s nutters are motivated by the possibility of a non-mandatory, public option to provide healthcare coverage to the uninsured. Healthcare = Nazis! Go figure. That takes whackadoodle nuttery to a whole new level. I have to say that the Right’s crazies are out crazying the Left’s.
Healthcare = Nazis is quite a bizzare logic leap even for the unhinged. Surely the pump would have to be primed for some people to go that batcrazy insane. I wonder what could have so polluted the well for people to arrive at that opinion. I wonder if it was the incessant misinformation that i received from my GOP pals and from the TeeVee during the runup to the election. Cuz from those sources i learned that Obama…
- is a secret muslim
- was schooled in a madrassa
- is a manchurian candidate
- hates whites
- is not a Mercan / he’s hiding his birth cert
- is a socialist
- is a communist
- is a marxist
- is a reparationsist
- is confiscating guns
- hangs out with terrorists
- obama’s plan is gunna kill grandma
If i had a nickle for every email i got from my GOP buds on those “topics”, i’d be rich.
During the Bush years, were the Dems interrupting town hall meetings, not allowing congressmen to speak, and shouting down anyone who didn’t agree with their point of view? Were they at presidential functions FULLY ARMED talking about revolution, because their side lost a presidential election? After the 2000 election was official, how many frivolous lawsuits were there challenging Bush’s right to be president?
