Today’s January 6 Committee Hearing POSTPONED Due to Hurricane Ian

“In light of Hurricane Ian bearing down on parts of Florida, we have decided to postpone tomorrow’s proceedings. We’re praying for the safety of all those in the storm’s path. The Select Committee’s investigation goes forward and we will soon announce a date for the postponed proceedings.” -Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-MS) and Vice Chair Liz Cheney (R-WY)

With Category 4 Hurricane Ian bearing down on Florida, the January 6 Select Committee has postponed today’s afternoon hearing that had been scheduled for 1:00 Eastern Time. Damage from the hurricane is expected to be massive with extensive power outages and widespread destruction as it crosses Florida and turns north.
