Poll Has Gillespie Up By 2
This poll slipped by me. Released on Friday, I didn’t find it until Saturday while checking Real Clear Politics and it had been figured into the Virginia gubernatorial averages.
The Polling Company, an outfit out of D.C. that isn’t familiar to me, has Republican Ed Gillespie up by two points over Democrat Ralph Northam (45%-43%).
They also polled the attorney general race with Republican John Adams and Democrat Mark Herring tied (45%-45%).
The margin of error was +/- 3.46 percent.
Interestingly, I couldn’t find numbers for the lieutenant governor race. In fact, I couldn’t find much at all — no crosstabs, only the poll script — so can’t give a link for more observations.
Election day is November 7.
