Democrat Lynwood Lewis wasted no time in his efforts to make sure no woman represents Virginia’s 6th Senate District.
Despite well-publicized and otherwise discussed candidacies of the just-announced Andria McClellan and the oft-mentioned former Del. Paula Miller, Lynwood Lewis will have none of that.
Women representing the 6th District? Not if Lewis has his way.
Lewis announced early this morning that he, not Andria and not Paula, is the man to be in the Senate after Ralph Northam leaves for the LG’s gavel.
Andria was part of Northam’s campaign team, serving as Treasurer.
Del. Paula Miller served in the House of Delegates, just like MR. Lewis has.
Apparently, Lynwood Lewis doesn’t think they’re good enough.
Lewis says his record is “a testament to the type of leadership I plan to bring to the 6th Senate District.” Perhaps his campaign against Democratic women who dare try to become Senators will be as well.
Let’s see if the Democratic Party of Virginia truly supports women or just sets up its handpicked man for the job.
Did someone rename the Senate “Boys Town?”
