There has been criticism of announced congressional candidate Ron Meyer on his age and perhaps his in experience, but I don’t believe these things would lose him the election in 2014. But weird and inappropriate tweets could, like those coming from his challenger for the nomination Gerald Geddes, especially in a swing district. Geddes claims to have 4,807 twitter followers. I wonder what kinds of things he tells them? Lets take a look:
Hmmm wont go over well with…well lots of people.
I will bet you not a lot of folks in the 11th District blame the President for the Boston bombings.
The GOP should not play the race card: we leave that to the Liberals.
Lets not set ourselves up for failure again, these type things bite us in the ass every year…
UPDATE: Oh, and let’s talk about this gem from yesterday’s announcement email:
In social media, I have been something of a sensation on Twitter: As of 9/18/13 at 5:46pm I have 4,807 followers. Ron Meyer Jr. has 2,474 followers; Gerry Connolly has 5,210. I should be ahead of Gerry Connolly by October 15th 2013 at my current pace. I have a Klout score of 56 out of 100, which sounds like a failing grade, but I can get an Admirals Club Daypass with it, LOL!
Funny thing about those numbers. Not only are they worthless, they’re inflated:
Check out that steady growth! But wait, it seems to run exactly parallel to…
The growth of who he follows. Which doesn’t mean that more people necessarily care about what he’s saying, just that they’re all part of #teamfollowback! Or they were bought.
Remember, kids, followers don’t exactly mean people are listening (or talking) to you:
