Jeff Schapiro is an embarrassment to reporting and I really wonder why this hack is on someone’s payroll. He is listed as a “political reporter and columnist” but doesn’t do an ounce of “reporting.” “Repeating” is more like it, and repeating himself usually.
8 of his last 10 tweets have been attacks on Gov. Bob McDonnell.
8 of his last 9 columns have been about McDonnell.
It’s enough to make me wonder if the bow-tied dweeb on a treadmill of a career has a fixation on McDonnell only the west coast could understand.
I googled “How long has Jeff Schapiro had the same measly job” and it came back with “since the year Liberace died.”
Coincidence?
Schapiro is one of those “unbiased reporters with no political slant” that became a liberal columnist straight out of left field attacking Republicans over and over and over and over.
This week Schapiro is earning his left-arm stripes, first by writing a sickening column imagining a bathroom conversation between Bob and Maureen McDonnell. One wonders why Jeff yearns to be present at such a moment, and what color bow tie he’d wear.
I still can’t believe a Virginia newspaper called that journalism.
Then came today’s embarrassment of a column of Jeff bashing Bob McDonnell’s apology and sounding a lot like Rosie O’Donnell.
Schapiro has been writing for weeks about McDonnell’s impending demise referencing his defiant tone. Now, McDonnell apologizes and pays back all the money that was loaned, and Schapiro says AHA! – this is a sign that trouble is ahead!
If McDonnell stood up and said “I don’t apologize for anything,” Schapiro would write AHA! this is a sign that trouble is ahead!
Schapiro says McDonnell’s apology is “long overdue” and then lambasts him for doing it. Seriously. Jeff. If the Richmond Times Dispatch doesn’t have a prescription plan, perhaps Obamacare will.
Schapiro calls the Governor “a punch line” who “threw his family under the bus” and an “object of pity.”
Then the bow-tied hack finishes his column with an ethnic slur that ridicules Italians, unfortunately not one of the liberally-protected groups in America. I’m half-Italian, and I didn’t find it funny.
But I’m sure Jeff did. And I’m sure he’ll videotape himself talking to himself again and smirking at his own jokes.
Except, when people Schapiro’s age do that, it’s creepy.
