Over at Virtucon, another campaign comes in for some tough scrutiny. This time, it’s Scott Lingamfelter, who is accused of playing “dirty by proxy.” In this case, it’s via a series of emails from former Del. Tom Gear, who has taken it upon himself to do a bit of candidate vetting. All the candidates, save one, have come in for substantial criticism from Gear. The exception? Lingamfelter. However, in the course of Mr. Gear’s venting vetting, he took a swing at Susan Stimpson for her opposition to the recent transportation tax hike. He called her “an angry soccer mom,” which I’m sure in some circles counts as an epic put-down worthy of high fives and towel snapping.
To its great credit, the Stimpson campaign turned it into a rallying cry, as can be seen on Stimpson’s Facebook page:
