Bill’s Barbecue in Richmond is just one of the casualties of the current economy. But its owner isn’t going away quietly:
It’s a good spot to run in the Richmond area, though more likely for the surrounding areas than the city itself (which, barring an act of God, will be solidly Democratic on election day). It’s an especially good spot for those who remember Bill’s famous limeades, and those memories run pretty deep.
Earlier in the year, George Allen held a campaign event at Bill’s on the Boulevard with Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson. I reminded Johnson of his Bill’s visit when I interviewed him in Tampa. The most important thing he remembered from that event? The limeade.
