The suspense was building up for weeks and when the Supremes finally released their 5-4 decision in favor of Obamacare, the responses were fast and furious. No wait that’s the story where the House held Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt. That was, by the way the first time ever a member of the President’s Cabinet has been held in contempt. This one ain’t over yet.
Neither is Obamacare. Brian Schoeneman wrote about the opinion today saying:
At the end of the day, this decision will be debated left and right, and many are going to disagree with me that there was anything good about it. But if you focus on the long view – on the overall long-term health of the American experiment – it was a reaffirmation of the conservative principle that the federal government and our federal system has limits. That’s a good thing, and I’m willing to accept that as a win.
Now let’s repeal the whole damn thing.

In other news this week, the Board of Visitors of the University of Virginia said “oops.” Maybe that had to do with Bob McDonnell telling them if they didn’t play nice he’d put them all in time out…permanently. But in a move that surprised no one, the Board reversed their decision and gave Terry Sullivan her job back. We told you last week that they just might.
But it’s good for Virginia’s film image.
While GOP candidates for Lt. Governor are acting like college students trying to cram into a phone booth (look it up, I’m not that old), Terry McAuliffe is spending some alone time on the bench.
