The Democrats have no interest in me.
This isn’t a big revelation. I’ve known that since before I was voting. The Democrats never offer me a solution that has anything to do with me.
But it’s been made really clear in the Democrat ads being kicked around for upcoming campaigns.
Look at the Democrats’ Women’s StrikeOut Force (StrikeOut because they are made up of a lot of election losers).
“The Strike Force’s sole purpose is to defeat any Virginia lawmaker who supported either the ultrasound bill or legislation granting personhood to an unborn fetus.” (RTD)
Apparently, Democrats will fight to preserve jobs of abortion clinic workers, but that’s about it.
And that’s the point. Democrats are almost exclusively catering to a fringe base, leaving out almost everyone else.
If I wanted to become a “free agent” tomorrow and researched some Democrat advertising, I wouldn’t find a single issue that was remotely relevant to me or most people in America.
Let’s run through the playbook!
I’m straight and married, very happily, thank you. All the Democrats can offer me is an effort to legalize gay marriage. What’s are Democrats offering me?
Nothing!
Both Virginia and National Democrats’ recent focus on gay marriage just tells the VAST majority of straight, married or straight hoping-to-be-married people that your marriage just isn’t worth their time or efforts fighting for. If you’re gay, they’ll launch press releases, advertising and fight for you. No room at the lefty inn otherwise, though.
Or if you want an abortion? That’s the free pass to the front of the line in the Democratic Party. But if you’re one of those crazy folks who get married and actually raise your children, Democrats can’t offer you much except attacks and insults, likely calling you an out-of-touch homophobic bigot.
For the Democrats to care about you, you’d have to be waiting at Planned Parenthood to have an abortion while refusing to have an ultrasound that even Planned Parenthood recommends.
The Strike-Out Force will spend untold hundreds of thousands of dollars, they claim, talking about nothing but abortions without ultrasounds and making it easier for people to dispose of inconvenient pregnancies.
While the economy continues to sputter….
If you actually want to have the baby, Democrats don’t have much to offer you. “Choice” they call it, but there’s only one choice that makes it into their campaign brochures.
See, Democrats really don’t want you to have any choice at all. You have to be helpless to be a Democrat. You have to believe you can’t succeed in life without their help. They need you in despair. They need you with no other choice.
They need you to need them.
Democrats don’t really think much of you or me. They don’t think we can handle life on our own.
All these states between New York and California? Democrats aren’t interested in you, either.
Do you pray? Democrats think you’re stupid. They think your religion is some small-town tradition that you cling to because you aren’t smart enough to have figured it all out like Democrats have. Watch the national left-wing talk shows and how they portray religious people.
Do you own a gun? Democrats think you can’t be trusted with one of those, since you don’t belong to the local Police union. They want to register you, watch you, and eventually take that from you.
Read their campaign brochures. Look at whom they attack in campaign ads. These folks invent a right to an abortion out of nowhere, but can’t read the words “right to keep and bear arms.”
Are you a registered voter with a legal ID? Democrats have nothing to offer you. If you are a convicted felon, then they care. Illegal immigrant? Democrats will go to the mat for you. Otherwise, don’t bother knocking on Democrats’ doors.
Unemployed? The best Democrats can do is keep extending unemployment benefits and hope that you stay unemployed long enough so they can use you to extend them again. If you get a new job, Democrats have no use for you anymore.
Drive a car? Well, you’re really going to get confused, because Democrats want more and more money spent on highways and roads, but they want to starve off oil drilling and make gas so expensive through taxation that you won’t be able to use the highways much anyway.
That’s why I’ll never be a Democrat. Democrats aren’t interested. I’m a straight, married, employed legal citizen. I have an ID, I drive a car, I support citizens arming themselves and I’m not getting an abortion.
Democrats offer me nothing.
However, if you happen to be a gay felon illegal immigrant atheist who takes the bus to the abortion clinic, read the Democrat platform.
You’ll feel right at home.
