As a follow-up to Ward’s post about Senate candidate Jamie Radtke backing out of a tea party sponsored debate because George Allen will not be in attendance, fellow Republican hopeful Tim Donner had this to say:
I find it shocking and disappointing that a candidate who agrees to participate in a debate – sponsored by her own organization – would back out of her commitment just days before the event. Does her word mean nothing? What is she afraid of? This is the behavior of a typical politician. The voters of Virginia deserve better. I have said from the beginning of my campaign that I will debate any and all candidates in this race anywhere, anyplace, anytime.
If the Jackson or McCormick campaigns make statements on this matter, we will post them.
