Short of the appropriate religious gift in the context of your chosen religion this holiday season, what special gift did you get this Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, etc.?
For me, not only did I get to see my family from Michigan and Chicago, but I also was blessed with some holiday cheer after they left. You see, one of my sisters brought her two little cherubs with her – who both had a stomach infection. Ergo, the virus whipped its way through my family after they left in no time!
Perhaps the best form of biological warfare is a toddler.
In all seriousness, it was great to see my parents and siblings this Christmas; our time together is few and far between.
However, I also got the series “John Adams” from my loving wife. It was worth the wait!
