National Journal contacted Bearing Drift to participate in a series of “insider” polls for bloggers during the Democratic and Republican National Conventions. Bearing Drift is one of just twenty-one “right of center” blogs from across the country participating in this series.
The first question, “What portion — if any — of the Democratic convention program should be devoted to tearing down John McCain and the Republican brand?” runs today.
Not surprisingly, the Democratic bloggers, which includes Kos, overwhelmingly went negative. Seems they have very little that is positive to discuss about their candidate of “hope” and “change.”
My vote was one of the seven “right of center” blogs to say that “hardly any” time should be devoted to it. My comment to the pollster was:
“This is a time to celebrate Democratic achievements, establish their policy platform, and introduce their candidate. Should take about five minutes.”
