From Reuters:
[Russian Foreign Minister Sergei] Lavrov said on Tuesday that Russia had no intention of overthrowing Saakashvili, though he encouraged him to resign because “he can no longer be our partner”.
“It is not in our tradition to topple anyone or put someone on a throne,” Lavrov told a news conference.
Hmm….let’s see…1917, Stalin, the fall of communism in 1991 (and that’s just in Moscow!)…oh, no…Russians never try to topple anyone or put someone on a throne.
