Comstock Pays Attention To Local Emergencies; Luann Racks Up Abortion-Booster Accolades

So a historic snowstorm batters Virginia.  Where was Barbara Comstock?  Doing what she always does — checking in on people.

Before the storm even hit, Comstock visited the national weather service in Sterling to get the best available information, she sent out countless informative emails, and telephone calls giving people updates on the storm, and informative tips, suggestions and internet links and phone numbers so people could access the help they may need. Folks familiar with her service over the last seven years in office know this to be the kind of constituent service Barbara delivers.

Luann Bennett on the other hand saw the record snow fall, snarled traffic, and the near complete shutdown of NOVA as a golden opportunity to raise money.

…and of course, attack Barbara Comstock.  On Friday, the Democratic contender was sending out emails raising money to overturn Citizens United, and then on Saturday, as the snow was gently blanketing her farm palatial estate view from the Ritz-Carlton, what was on her mind?

Could it be enjoying the landscape?  Renting out her penthouse apartment to Syrian refugees?  Perhaps even inviting the homeless off the streets of Washington D.C. where they might not freeze to death?  Nah — Luann had abortions on her mind… I mean, who doesn’t look at 24″ of snow and think of abortion, right?  So enamored with the idea of chopping up little babies on a cold, white, snowy weekend, Luann had to go out and trumpet her support from the radical and deranged abortion-boosters at Emily’s List.

Perhaps people who have lived the last few years in a penthouse in the Washington D.C. Ritz Carlton just don’t understand the trials and tribulations of ordinary folks, but come on…  really?  A statewide emergency, people frozen inside their homes, and the only thing that Luann can think of is vicious Washington-style negative attacks?

The tale of two candidates couldn’t be clearer in VA-10.  Barbara is local and puts her constituents first.
