The Congressional Leadership Foundation has made a $1 million 30- and 15-second ad buy in Northern Virginia to highlight John Foust’s comments earlier this year that Barbara Comstock never held a “real job.”
Last month, John Foust attacked his opponent Barbara Comstock, who is a mother, lawyer and legislator, by saying, “I don’t think she’s even had a real job.” Condemned as “sexist” and “disrespectful,” John Foust’s offensive remarks about Barbara Comstock apply to working mothers throughout Northern Virginia. A recent poll by CLF found that 62% of respondents, including 70% of women, were less likely to vote for John Foust after hearing his sexist statement.
LISA: As a working mother, it’s frustrating how ignorant politicians like John Foust are about the real world.

The Congressional Leadership Fund is poised to spend millions of dollars this campaign to preserve or make GOP gains in congress.
“When he demeaned working mom Barbara Comstock as never having a real job, John Foust let Northern Virginia women know they don’t really count in his world,” said Emily Davis, spokeswoman for Congressional Leadership Fund. “If John Foust can’t bring himself to respect a woman’s work, just imagine what he’d do in Congress to turn back the clock on women.”
Update: Of course, this is also coming on the heals of the DCCC cutting-bait and the Washington Post giving Foust less than 1 percent chance of winning this.
