McAuliffe takes a day off with budget in balance then blames police chief for not following protocol

Is Gov. Terry McAuliffe actually upset that the budget was delivered to his office by a longstanding public servant and chief of the capitol police?

The caustic nature of this administration has spread to people who actually work dutifully and in good faith for this commonwealth – and have for years.

While the governor has run roughshod in his efforts to undermine our state constitution, he is apparently worried about longtime capitol police chief Col. Anthony S. Pike for…doing his job?

While the governor and his staff took Father’s Day off, in the midst of while the General Assembly and, apparently, a good portion of the Capitol Police still worked, while the budget was finalized, you would think, presumably Gov. Dunmore…I mean McAuliffe..might be interested in such matters.

Upon finalization, as is always the case, a hardcopy was sent to the governor’s office, which had been locked shut.

That said, the legislature completed their work. Had a document that is mandated to be delivered to the executive. And, it was.

Now the administration is mad because they weren’t there to receive it? They’re somehow worried about protocol when they’ve done everything in their power undermine precedent and procedure when dealing with the budget?

When the lady doth protest to much, one just begins to wonder what is in the governor’s office that he doesn’t want anyone to see?

As is usually the case, Shaun Kenney, puts it brilliantly on Facebook:

Quick quiz! You are days away from being the first governor ever to be responsible for a government shutdown just moments after issuing last-minute budget amendments! Do you (a) make sure your staff is on hand to genuinely resolve the crisis, (b) throw bombs and do everything possible to make life miserable for the General Assembly, or (c) shoo everyone away from the office in order to be as uncooperative as humanly possible?

If you chose B and C, thank you Terry McAuliffe for taking this quiz!
