Democrat candidate for Congress Paul Hirschbiel is getting slammed by Obama lately. I wonder if Hirschbiel has the guts to hit Obama back.
Paul Hirschbiel brags on his website about his business accomplishments, and he takes credit for them!
“Paul founded a venture capital firm with five other partners. Originally named Prudential Venture Capital Management, Inc., the firm was renamed and is currently known as Cornerstone Equity Investors… Paul helped found Envest Ventures in 1999, the first early-stage venture capital firm in Hampton Roads”
But Obama slams Hirschbiel by saying he didn’t really accomplish much of anything at all.
“If you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something — there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there…If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that.”(BD)
According to Obama, Hirschbiel is taking credit for lots of things that Obama thinks he just didn’t do.
Of course, Obama hates “venture capital” companies, since he’s been attacking Mitt Romney about them all summer long.
What’s Hirschbiel to do? He’s made all his riches in an industry that Obama is attacking relentlessly and he’s now being told by Obama that all the business credentials he’s bragging about are worth little more than a warm bucket of spit.
The question now is will Hirschbiel stand up for himself against Obama’s insults to him, or will he stay quietly and meekly in the corner with his Obama sticker like a good, little boy.
