Representative Scott Rigell continues his strong focus on turning the economy around and helping those who have served America secure employment, while cutting tax credits for corporate jets.
H.R. 4199, the Closing Corporate Jet Tax Loopholes to Employ Veterans Act of 2012, ends the corporate deduction for private jets and transfers that new revenue to increase the Returning Heroes and Wounded Warrior Work Opportunity Tax Credits, incentive programs for businesses to hire returning veterans and wounded warriors.
The jobless rate for Veterans serving since 9-11 is over 12%.
Rigell said, “Our tax code should reward the businesses that employ our nation’s heroes, not the large corporations who can afford corporate jets for their executives. This legislation accomplishes that.”
This is a fantastic idea and clearly communicates where priorities should be. Our warriors are our heroes.
While Democrats continue to be negative and divisive with their liberal fixation on social issues that divide people, Republicans like Scott Rigell are singularly focused on helping put people back to work.
