Congratulations to fellow Bearing Drift contributor Shaun Kenney, 33, on his election Wednesday as the new Chairman of the Fluvanna Board of Supervisors.
Shaun, who served last year as vice-chairman, is the former Communications Director for the Republican Party of Virginia. In September of 2011, Governor Bob McDonnell appointed him to the Governor’s Task Force for Local Government Mandate Review.
A blogger since 2002, he still actively shares opinions about issues and events, and can be found tweeting updates on agenda items during supervisor meetings.
Shaun and his wife, Melissa, live in Kents Store — “Thomas Jefferson’s back yard” — with their six children. He represents the Columbia District of Fluvanna County.
