Congratulations to fellow Bearing Drift contributor Shaun Kenney [1], 33, on his election Wednesday as the new Chairman of the Fluvanna Board of Supervisors [2].
Shaun, who served last year as vice-chairman, is the former Communications Director for the Republican Party of Virginia [3]. In September of 2011, Governor Bob McDonnell appointed him to the Governor’s Task Force for Local Government Mandate Review [4].
A blogger since 2002 [5], he still actively shares opinions about issues and events, and can be found tweeting updates on agenda items during supervisor meetings.
Shaun and his wife, Melissa, live in Kents Store — “Thomas Jefferson’s back yard” — with their six children. He represents the Columbia District of Fluvanna County.
