Check Out All the OLD People!
By | Saturday, February 26th, 2011 | Policy

So how many outraged Virginans (not to be confused with Virginians) could the labor unions muster on a gorgeous spring day to support Wisconsin’s teacher unions?

maybe 250?

“I see old people….”

You can’t find enough people to bus in if you try to have a fake rally everywhere. A real dumb idea by the DNC and the NEA etc. The wheels are coming off their bus I guess.

Pathetic. Thanks for wasting 9:22 minutes of my life, Shaun.

You and I both know you didn’t watch the whole thing, Jim. Hell… I didn’t… that was BORING.

    Now this sort of crap?

…is what was going on in California. Much more interesting!!!

I found it was more productive to send money them in Wisconsin than attend a rally locally… I believe most of us feel the same.

JMO: We are not into flashy meaningless efforts. Money talks…

Wow that was poorly written… Sorry it is early.

Darn right money talks. It’s a new part time job for retirees and unemployed. This weekend get paid to support unions. Next weekend be at a Tea Party rally. The DC events are where the real money is. Be a Lib on Saturday, a right wing nut on Sunday, with time to do a secret shopper and bingo in the evening. Gotta supplement those entitlements somehow.

Yes Darrell, and the real awakening will occur when Walker and Cantor and the other minions doing the bidding of the super rich cause an alliance between the tea party and the workers represented by unions. For the real issue in America is the ascendancy of the power of multi national corporations and the ultra rich to control their political supporters to do whatever they think will contribute to more wealth and power. Frankly, to date, they have convinced many that it is that government is too big, but soon, their inability to reign in their power will show that in fact, it is the tax breaks they get, the power they exude from Fox, the payments they make to up and coming right wingers willing to sell their soul for a contract. But soon, an alliance will be formed, and those who continue to support the power of big business will feel their full wrath.

Run that by me one more time?

Eric Cantor and the Tea Party are going to join forces with the AFL-CIO and the multinational oil companies, and in an alliance with Wall Street and the MSM — will join their force and form a big, anti-American Voltron?

I don’t know about anyone out there, but I am all for success. The more I work, the more I succeed. I would love to enjoy obscene porfits, as I am sure those that wish to work for me would enjoy. These people are doomed before they even begin. No one has a right to take money that does not belong to them ..envy gets you nowhere… ever.

    oops…profits

  12. HisRoc February 27, 2011 18:11 pm

    Mike,

When you refer to “the minions doing the bidding of the super rich,” I assume that you are referring to George Soros who is financing the pro-union demonstrations in Wisconsin through MoveOn.org?

  13. Valentinus February 27, 2011 18:51 pm

Believe it or not almost all leftists – not just Mike B. – don’t think anyone spouting leftist slogans is super rich. I know this from personal experience. Say that Kerry or Pelosi or Soros are part of the super rich and you will get a blank stare. Sometimes you will hear an adoring sigh “Oh they do such good with their money.” Say that Soros is an international swindler and you get a frown. Say that Pelosi gives tax breaks to her SF cronies and you see puzzlement. Say that Obama as Senator was one of the top 2 or 3 recipients from AIG and British Petroleum and a few will say ” Are you sure?” and shrug. This is the difference between the current leftist Dems and the old liberals. Those at least had been educated in a conservative public school system. This bunch are the product of their own “baby food”.

    @Shaun,

I believe what Mike B was trying to say was that the misguided Tea Party once they see multi national corporations take over the country (and he means corporations other than those joined at the hip to Obama) will suddenly recognize that they are really left wing Marxist union types after all. They will really love Big Brother .. I mean Government.

But I could be mistaken in thinking Mike B was trying to say this.
