Big surprise: Unions sponsoring Virginia Democratic shin-dig
By JR Hoeft | Saturday, February 19th, 2011 | PoliticsMuch of the money to support the Democratic Party’s annual fundraiser and lovefest in Richmond comes from big labor.
Sources tell Bearing Drift that one of the biggest donors is, surprise: the Communications Workers of America.
What a shocker.
Is it any wonder then that Sean Holihan, chairman of the VA Young Dems just tweeted: “Standing ovation for labor and Dems in Wisconsin”
Yep…let’s applaud walking out on children, running away from hard decisions, and using good ol’ fashion mob mentality instead of rational political discourse.

Nice to know those checks flow in while Democratic Senators are about to vote on the budget
Thank God Creigh Deeds didn’t win the governor’s seat in VA or we may not have continued to be a “right to work” state.
Right to work isn’t going anywhere in Virginia. Not while we control the House.
We brian? Yall control the senate!
Sadly, Sean’s viewpoint is the mainstream for them. It’s all about the Party, all about the union, all about furthering the cause instead of acting like adults and solving problems.
Ah, more faux outrage.
Chamber of Commerce pours millions into Republicans coffers…business as usual. Nothing to see here. Move on.
Labor supports Dems….oh, the horror!
Re: CWA…they lost that vote. So I guess the telecom industry ponied up more, since BD posters are sure contributions equal votes.
