From On High: The Soviets Are Alive And Well…
By | Thursday, February 10th, 2011 | Politics

When you see a post like that, you’ve got to give props.

The topic? ABC privatization. Died without a hearing.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: if we can’t even get this right in the middle of a recession in the best environment to cut the size of government, we’re doomed.

Please — for the love of God — end the government liquor monopoly.

Shaun, as someone who agrees with you about ending the state monopoly on hard liquor sales, I’ve got to say that the McDonnell administration screwed this up in about every way possible. They gauranteed that even their friends would oppose them on it. I wrote about it on All Politics Are Local last week.

    Steve Vaughn,

I am glad you are still able to comment on Bearing Drift. Vivian cut me off from comments on her site.

So much for tolerance from the left.

Lowell threatened me with the same, but I chose to abandon his site before it officially came down.

LD: One of the reasons that BD is among my favorite sites is that it does encourage a free-wheeling exchange of views from all sides.
I’ve gotten into several disputes with Lowell on Blue Virginia but have never been threatened with being cut off. That site is more of an echo chamber than its predecessor, Raising Kaine, was.
I have been threatened with a ban from NLS more than once.
All Politics Are Local seems to get a pretty good mix. I know Brian Kirwin comments there fairly regularly.
