Cook Political Report Moves VA02 & VA05 to Lean R

Today’s Cook Political Report update has moved both the 2nd District and 5th District from ‘Toss-Up’ to lean R. This follows repeated polls showing Scott Rigell and Robert Hurt, respectively, leading their Democratic incumbent opponents.

    For Charlie Cook to move a challenger into the leans column as a probable winner is about as good as it can get! Go Rigell and Hurt!

    No surprise here. It a reflection of all the hard work Rigell and Hurt have been doing all along. I can’t wait to see it all pay off on November 2nd!
