Cuccinelli wants new data in lawsuit against EPA
By | Monday, April 19th, 2010 | Policy

Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli filed a motion Thursday and released a statement Friday regarding his ongoing battle with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Beginning back in February, the Commonwealth filed a lawsuit against the EPA over their assertion that carbon dioxide in the air is a danger to public health and welfare – which they say gives them authority to impose Draconian regulations on vehicles. The AG and the State of Alabama think otherwise and are challenging that decision.

But the dilemma is what data should the court use in making its ruling?

In the wake of the “Climate-gate” scandal, where East Anglia climatoligists in Great Britain admitted to cooking the books on climate change, Cuccinelli argues that the existing data is flawed and must be corrected for a fair ruling in the existing lawsuit to be rendered.

“Whatever the final decision is by the EPA, we want it to be based on sound scientific data, not data that has been sifted through a political filter,” said Mr. Cuccinelli.

The EPA’s regulation of carbon dioxide could end up costing businesses and every Virginian household hundreds of millions of dollars in potentially unnecessary fees and increased energy costs, and could price industries such as manufacturing, agriculture, energy, and others out of business, destroying the jobs they provide to Virginians. Costs to Virginia households to heat homes, buy groceries, and power appliances are projected to increase by thousands of dollars a year under the likely regulations said the Attorney General’s office.

I believe that it is even worse then what you are saying.
The EPA thinks that they can impose regulations on ANYTHING that produces CO2.
EVERY living creature in the Unites States produces CO2.
We now have a EPA dictatorship.
Who the hell voted for that???

When Obama was a state Senator he was on the board of directors of the Joyce Foundation which gave seed money to fund the start of the Chicargo Climate Exchange. The US’s premeire clearing house for carbon trading, how convient that George Soros, Al Gore, and yes Barry Soetoro will all profit handsomely from any carbon trading.

Consider that China, the world’s leading emitter of CO2, and India, the world’s third largest emitter, have consistently refused to accept binding emissions cuts that will harm their economies. There will be those who will try and sell carbon pledges from China and India as concrete evidence that a climate deal is imminent. But don’t be fooled: whatever “agreements” are made will merely reinforce business-as-usual for both countries. This is not a surprise. This summer, India’s Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh said, “India will not accept any emission-reduction target—period.” This is a non-negotiable stand.” China has said very much the same thing. In short, China and India are right to put the economic well-being of their citizens before compliance with costly, and ultimately unnecessary, carbon mandates.

Every 25 minutes that volcano emits more pollution by weight than the vehicle fleet annually releases in the USA. Daily, 350,000+ tons of CO2.. Plus tons of sulfuric acid..megatons daily.

The EPA has been hijacked to serve the presidents donors. The lesson served up shows what happens when the executive branch lacks rational leadership with Americas best interests at heart. This is what happens when socialists win political office.

I hear they’re sending Joe Biden. Stop that! — he’s playing the Lloyd Bridges part.
