Saints win!
By | Sunday, February 7th, 2010 | Catch-All

There are no reports of violence or looting, yet, from New Orleans after their huge Super Bowl victory over the Indianapolis Colts, but, if it should happen, I am sure it will all be former Pres. George W. Bush’s fault…after all, it was after Katrina, right? Yet, Obama picked the Colts.

(PS As a Detroit Lions’ fan, I now feel that there really is hope.)

I hope Matthew Stafford was watching Drew Brees and taking notes.

    WHO DAT!!!

Oh, I am so glad – I met my husband down in N’Awlins when we were at college, and the Saints were the perennial losers then. The city always loved them, though, so I was rooting for them to win.

Congratulations to both teams for a very well fought game!

And (just in case you missed it)

    WHO DAT!!!!

    ;-)

while Mardi Gras may be Superfun this year, I hate how the media keeps trying to say becoming Superbowl champs somehow will revitalize the city. the schools are the same, the jobs are the same, etc. the only real difference is their new mayor so hopefully he can make the city better.

on the flip side, I guess a lot of kids in Haiti will be wearing Colts Superbowl Champs t-shirts.

The Saints ain’t Ain’ts any more.

As far as the half time show, well…

“All rock-and-rollers over the age of 50 look stupid and should retire” – Grace Slick 1998.

“Picture spandex on Ted Koppel, or Newt Gingrich behind a drum set.” – Grace Slick more recently.

“I’m over 50 years old, and I’m not getting up on stage and look like an ass. I’m not 20 anymore, and I don’t have to prove anything to anyone. I’m a Grandmother, not a Rocker.” – Debbie Harry (Blondie)

YEA SAINTS!!!! Even though The Who is from my generation, I have to agree on Grace Slick and Debbie Harry’s viewpoint. The voices were not the same. Great game!!

Didn’t they hope they died before they got old?

( President Obama on the Super Bowl: Colts “probably have to be favored” } Support by “Little Barry” or “Barry Soetoro” is starting to seem to be the kiss of death.

    Yay, Saints.
The Who: Not good. Peter looked okay, but Roger’s lost it all, the voice the moves.
The sad thing: Most people watching probably only knew those songs at the theme songs of the various version sof “CSI.”
