BREAKING: 2nd District Candidate Dropping Out?
By | Thursday, December 17th, 2009 | Politics

Sources are telling Bearing Drift that an imminent announcement regarding Chuck Smith’s campaign is forthcoming.  Speculation is his campaign is coming to an end; however at this time that is unconfirmed.

More details as soon as we have them.

Update [5:51 pm] Chuck’s website, www.chucksmith2010.com is no longer a valid address either. Sorry apparently it was down temporarily.

Now if we could get Ferrin and McKelvey out of the 5th District race, we’d be onto something!

Chuck means well. Many who know him like him. But he will not be the Congressman from VA-2. Hopefully he will do he right thing and endorse Kenny G.

I wonder how Lee Tally feels about Chuck Smith? Bullet Proof Monk support Chuck? Loudoun Insider helping Chuck? Brian(not Kirwin, the one with “the tick” gravatar)…..he helping Chuck?

As for Kenny G., I hear he’s busy burning bridges with the VBTA over their non-support of Villaneuava. Say what you will about the VBTA, but is it smart to alienate them when you need every vote you can get?

I like Chuck. He’s a great guy just wasn’t his time to run. Now as far as him endorsing Rigel I disagree with that but doesn’t change my opinion of Chuck.

Britt I don’t flame everyone that disagree’s with me you know.

Chuck Smith had no business being in this race. And his endorsement of Rigell proves he has no clue. Chuck is a good guy but clearly politics isn’t his thing. And I certainly hope Rigell didn’t buy him out of this race. Rigell’s money can only go so far. Only hard work and getting out and talking to the voters will get the job done in this district.
