Power bills to go up

Well, energy prices are half what they were then, so what’s the most logical thing for Dominion Virginia Power to do?
Raise rates again!?!?!?!
The state’s largest utility has planned a news conference for Tuesday afternoon to disclose the specifics of its new rate plan. (Virginian-Pilot)
When energy costs were at its peak, they used that as an excuse to raise rates. Now that costs are lower, they still need even higher rates? They should be returning the rates to the previous level.
Forget stimulus plans. If government-regulated agencies are going to crank up electric bills, we’ll be using Obama’s tiny tax cut to pay the higher power bills.
