Even Democrats are calling Obama the “Messiah”, but in a new twist, Palin is Pontius Pilate
By | Thursday, September 11th, 2008 | Politics

Folks, you can’t make this stuff up. From Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) yesterday on the House floor:

Mr. COHEN. Mr. Speaker, it’s a bit confusing sometimes to listen to the rhetoric. The Republicans have had the Presidency now for nearly 8 years, and they have had the majority in this House since 1994, I think. [ed note: Democrats have had a majority in both chambers since 2006]
I submit to you, Mr. Speaker, that the parties have differences, but if you want change, you want the Democratic Party. BARACK OBAMA was a community organizer like Jesus, whom our minister prayed about. Pontius Pilate was a Governor.

This is the same Steve Cohen who practiced “Christian love” with a reporter:

This simile has been floating around the net for the last week or so. It popped up a day or so after Palin’s line in her convention speech disparaging community organizers as compared to mayors.

O.k. So I don’t troll the net as much as you.

Does that make the comment any less obtuse?

I’m a little confused here. Is Palin Pilate or one of the pigs that was possessed by one of Legion’s demons? :)

    RG, entertaining post.

I see a pattern here Jesus, Lincoln, JFK. Obama beware of your friends! Palin just wants to win an election. Your friends seem to be prophesizing your untimely death, making them the true Pilate, or at least the crowd who urged him on.
