Mark Warner and his “promises”
By | Friday, July 18th, 2008 | Politics

Bet Mark Warner would like to have these 16-seconds back:

The Gilmore campaign sent this out in advance of tomorrow’s debate…presumably wondering what promises made tomorrow will be broken later.

Here we see two bold faced lies – (1) I will not raise taxes and (2) I will finish the repeal of the car tax.

So, can anyone believe this guy anymore?

Well, they can … but they would be foolish to do so.

Yeah, Reid. He told at least one of those lies right to your face, remember?

Since it’s inception in 1999 the Car Tax Cut, or in General Assembly terms the PPTRA or Personal Property Tax Relief Act has returned $6.8 billion dollars to the tax payers of Virginia…

Almost 7 billion dollars back into the economy, and ‘business interests’ support the guy who increased taxes?

UHHH, now let’s get this straight. I am a businessman and I prefer a politician that takes money out of the taxpayers pockets so they have less to spend at businesses?

Yet, the candidate whose plan pours $1 billion a year into our economy is the bad guy?

Somewhere folks, we have a major, major disconnect.
