Kaine’s polls nosedive
By | Thursday, June 19th, 2008 | Catch-All

Gone are the days in 2006 when Gov. Kaine scored a 77% approval rating, and 2007 and his 63% rating.

Gone too are the 54%, 57% and 56% from this year.

He’s down to 46%, and that’s in a poll that oversampled 50% more Democrats than Republicans. Keep pushing tax increases, Timmy!

Brian Kirwin

The right wants to jeer him. The left wants to censor him. Moderates usually want both. Brian Kirwin is a political consultant and public relations strategist in Virginia Beach with a lightning-rod flair. Brian also serves on the VB Arts & Humanities Commission and frequently appears on Hampton Roads theatrical stages, if only to prove that all actors aren’t liberals. Kirwin’s columns stir up debate and hit the political scene with no punches pulled.

it’s one poll. a person doesn’t drop that much without a big reason and nothing has happened as of late.

Kaine has selective amnesia concerning regional taxation for state/port road ventures. He says he will impose regional sales tax in HR for the 6 MPO highway projects…despite the rejection of the 1998 amendment, the 2:1 defeat of the sales tax referendum in 2002, and the Va Supreme Court ruling that the HR regional taxing powers were unconstitutional.
What are they putting in the water coolers in Richmond? Does Kaine plan an executive order, or does he plan to force the GA into imposing the unfair, arbitrary and unacceptable on a preselected portion of the Tidewater communities?
Perhaps there is some substance to the idea that his suggestions are DOA, and this will be fodder for the next elections…blaming the republicans for the impasse.
    46% and dropping.

Thank God someone is finally noticing what a %^%# Kaine is.

And by the way, what is this ongoing love affair with the Dems of late in VA? Warner has alway been a whiney, self gratifying, little, playground (&$^# that takes credit for the sun rising. And VA morons buy his bag of crap every time he opens his mouth. Classic!

Kaine hopefully is through after this Felon BS. On the other hand, I’m not so sure. VA voted out Allen because he made up a word on the spot that supposedly (no one has ever proven this) was the name of a monkey? Oh, and by the way, it is a slur word in Napal as well?? God you guys are a bunch of numb (^$#!

    NOT FROM VA
