I was sorry to hear of the passing of former Richmond Mayor and 7th district Representative Tom Bliley: Thomas J. Bliley Jr. dies, former Richmond mayor, congressman [1] (Richmond Times-Dispatch).
What a great life he lived!
Tom Bliley was of tremendous help to me when I was first starting my own political journey, and I will never forget his kindness, encouragement and support.
He was not only a very effective Mayor and Congressman, but he was a true Virginia gentlemen. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
