*****

  1. Interest on the national debt for the first seven months of the fiscal year stands at $374 Billion. [1] That’s $374,000,000,000.00. Just to service the debt.
  2. Donald Trump was convicted of sexual abuse and defamation. No one has offered, “Nah, that doesn’t sound like him.” #AccessHollywood
  3. The Trump campaign got CNN to air a FREE prime time commercial to pivot away from the conviction narrative. It worked. The Trump campaign is smart. CNN? #UsefulIdiots. BTW – “useful idiot” is falsely attributed to Vladimir Lenin [2]. Transcript – click here [3] – Warning! Do not read after full meal.
  4. WPA’s Chris Wilson issued a report showing that Trump would be a disaster for Republicans in competitive seats as the 2024 nominee [4]. No warning here – it’s just math.
  5. Compare these two headlines following the House Republican Oversight Committee report and press conference on what the WSJ Editorial Board calls The Biden Family Business [5]

Republicans Fail to Find Any Evidence of Wrongdoing by President Biden in Floundering Biden Family Probe

House Republican Report Finds No Evidence of Wrongdoing by President Biden

Q – Which one came from the House Democrats on the Oversight Committee and which one came a day later from the New York Times? Click here for the answer and yet another example of useful idiot journalism. [6]

  6. Thank GOD for Matt Taibbi. One of the few sources of intellectual honesty, genuine journalistic curiosity, and unbending integrity. His column Report on the Censorship-Industrial Complex: The Top 50 Organizations to Know The citizen’s starter kit to understanding the new global information cartel  [7]MUST READ.
  7. Back to the Commonwealth – Governor Glenn Youngkin clarified that he is not running for president “this year” and is focused on the Virginia General Assembly elections. His focus is paying off – he helped Delegate John McGuire win a first round ballot in a four way convention for Senate District 10 on Saturday. Impressive win for McGuire and Youngkin. 62% in a four way? WOW.
  8. I think it’s fair to assume that Senator Lionell Spruill has been taken off Senator Louise Lucas’s Christmas card list. Brutal and effective ad from their nomination battle. #FourPopcornBagAlert [8]
  9. Speaking of Christmas Card Lists…Republican Party of Virginia National Committeewoman Patti Lyman called in the John Fredericks Show during live coverage of the aforementioned 10th Senate District Convention. I provided analysis. During that call she said that I “would have to move to the Right to be a RINO.” Q – Does one have to be a Republican to be a Republican In Name Only #DaleCarnegieAwardGoesTo…
  10. Aaaand finally … two nights ago, William (27 now) and I watched The Darkest Hour – great movie about Winston Churchill’s becoming the Britain’s Prime Minister in May of 1940. He realizes now how close we were to losing Western Civilization to the Nazis. Ironically, he and his bride, Chelsea are right now on a British Airways Airbus 380 bound for London and will continue to their honeymoon destination – Athens, Greece. Good, quick read on the Fall of Athens. [9]

Lyrics:

Well I stood stone-like at midnight
Suspended in my masquerade
I combed my hair ’til it was just right
And commanded the night brigade
I was open to pain and crossed by the rain
And I walked on a crooked crutch
I strolled all alone through a fallout zone
And came out with my soul untouched

I hid in the clouded wrath of the crowd
But when they said, “Sit down,” I stood up
Ooh, ooh, growin’ up

The flag of piracy flew from my mast
My sails were set wing to wing
I had a jukebox graduate for first mate
She couldn’t sail but she sure could sing
I pushed B-52 and bombed them with the blues
With my gear set stubborn on standing
I broke all the rules, strafed my old high school
Never once gave thought to landing

I hid in the clouded warmth of the crowd
But when they said, “Come down,” I threw up
Ooh, ooh, growin’ up
Work it back now

I took month-long vacations in the stratosphere
And you know it’s really hard to hold your breath
I swear I lost everything I ever loved or feared
I was the cosmic kid in full costume dress
Well, my feet they finally took root in the earth
But I got me a nice little place in the stars
And I swear I found the key to the universe
In the engine of an old parked car

I hid in the mother breast of the crowd
But when they said, “Pull down,” I pulled up
Ooh, ooh, growin’ up
Ooh, ooh, growin’ up
