Carolyn Bragg Appointed to fill Interim Supervisor Seat in Augusta

By a vote of 6-0, Augusta County’s Board of Supervisors voted one of their former colleagues, Carolyn Bragg, [1] in as interim supervisor for the South River District seat vacated in March by Steve Morelli.

The meeting that began at 4:00 pm in the board meeting room at the Augusta Government Center consisted of questions presented to the three candidates who had expressed interest by submitting resumes before the deadline last Friday.

Questions asked of Carolyn Bragg, James Kindig, and Randall Wolff took almost two hours before the board went into closed session. Returning to the meeting room, they voted 6-0 on a motion to appoint Ms. Bragg. She will fill the seat through the end of 2023. In November, she can run for election of the seat for a four-year term.

Congratulations to Carolyn Bragg who is deeply immersed in the South River District and will literally hit the ground running.
