Bolling: Reagan Still Matters
When I entered adulthood, Ronald Reagan was President of the United States. In my opinion, Reagan should be rated among our country’s greatest presidents.
I always considered myself a Reagan Republican, and still do. Reagan consistently stood for a conservative approach to government, but he did so with a smile on his face and an optimism in his heart that drew people to the Republican Party. He never drove people away! And he kept his focus on the big issues that mattered most to families and businesses.
Reagan made us believe that America was a special place, a city set on a hill, the last best hope for peace and freedom in the world. Frankly, the future formula for success and growth in the Republican Party depends on its ability to return to the Reagan approach.
Here’s a great article from National Review on why Reagan still matters: Ronald Reagan’s Conservatism Unites Republicans. Read it to be wise; practice it to be successful and impactful.
