Bolling: NH Poll Shows Democratic Candidate Leading by Double Digits Over Right-Wing Republican

Look folks, this is what happens in swing states when you nominate unelectable candidates: Hassan holds 13-point lead in New Hampshire reelection bid: survey (msn.com) [1]:

Incumbent Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.) holds a 13-point lead over her Republican challenger in the closely watched race, according to a new American Research Group poll [2].

Fifteen percent of Republicans said they would cross party lines to vote for Hassan, while 5 percent of Democrats said they would vote for Bolduc.

New Hampshire’s Democratic Senator Maggie Hassan was elected in 2016 by .07% of the vote. She was seen as one of the most vulnerable Democratic incumbents, and this was seen as a race that Republicans could win in 2022.

But then, Republicans nominated a far-right wing candidate who simply cannot connect with the more moderate voters you must have to win in a state like New Hampshire.

Now, Maggie Hassan has a wide lead and is expected to be reelected, likely by a comfortable margin. Republicans just never seem to learn this lesson.

You can nominate far right-wing candidates in a solid Republican state and win, but you cannot do that in states like New Hampshire, or for that matter Virginia.

Unfortunately, Republicans have seriously jeopardized their chances of winning at least four such swing states in this year’s mid-term elections. As a result, their chances of regaining control of the U.S. Senate have been severely adversely impacted.
