After today’s hearing, the committee will pause until mid-July as they review new information provided after the hearings began airing including documentary video from a film crew following Trump in the closing days of his administration, new information from the National Archives, and tips received through the committee’s tip line, according to CNN [2].

- Making a Case Against Trump: The committee appears to be laying out a road map [4] for prosecutors to indict former President Donald J. Trump. But the path to any trial is uncertain [5].
- Day One: During the first hearing [6], the panel presented a gripping story [7] with a sprawling cast of characters, but only three main players: Mr. Trump, the Proud Boys and a Capitol Police officer [8].
- Day Two: In its second hearing [9], the committee showed how Mr. Trump ignored aides and advisers [10] in declaring victory prematurely and relentlessly pressing claims of fraud he was told were wrong.
- Day Three: Mr. Trump pressured Vice President Mike Pence [11] to go along with a plan to overturn his loss even after he was told it was illegal, according to testimony laid out by the panel during the third hearing [12].
- Day Four: The committee used its fourth hearing [13] to show how Mr. Trump was personally involved in a scheme to put forward fake electors [14] and highlight the pressure that state officials faced to overturn the election [15].
Meanwhile, the Washington Post [16] reports, “In the past 24 hours, there has been an uptick in the number of violent threats against lawmakers on the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, and all lawmakers on the committee are likely to receive a security detail, according to three people involved with the investigation.”
