This is what totalitarian regimes do: Russia blocks media outlets, others hacked over Ukraine war | AP News [1].
They suppress a free and open media to keep their citizens uninformed and in line. Many people in Russia do not support Putin’s War, but when they protest they are arrested, locked up, or worse.
There are certainly times when the bias in American media drives me nuts, but it is in times like these that a free and open media is necessary to assure transparency and hold tyrants accountable.
