For travelers crossing the Blue Ridge Mountains, one route has been closed indefinitely due to a rockslide that covered the road earlier this week.
Wintergreen Fire & Rescue provided an update on Route 250 that has closed the roadway with boulders, rocks, dirt, and trees/undergrowth.
VDOT had noted that work to stabilize the slope continues although it will be weeks before the work is completed. Take I-64 over the mountain, or take the back way on Route 151.
