Setting the Record Straight

Jack White, a conservative candidate with a lifetime of service who is seeking the Republican nomination to become Virginia’s Attorney General, was recently misreported in a political blog as making an illegal donation to the Joe Biden presidential campaign in 2020.

Mr. White, an attorney in Northern Virginia, has never denied the donation but it was not illegal. Since the false reporting at the blog didn’t set the record straight, we will.

In October 2020 Mr. White’s donation for a Commander in Chief Forum that he didn’t attend went through a JFC – joint fundraising committee. The check for the event transferred to the Biden Action Fund that then appeared to mistakenly withdraw a second check but the mistake was caught before the second transaction took place, and it never left the account. It was not double the maximum allowable donation, as shown by the above spreadsheet.

Also of note is that the $2,800 donation was a ticket to an event that Mr. White didn’t attend, explained in his statement below where he noted that over the years he has made numerous contributions to conservative causes including the Federalist Society, the Heritage Foundation, and Republican congressional candidates.

Jack White provided a statement in reference to this non-issue (emphasis added):

“I’m not a politician. I’m a father, husband, pastor, attorney, and proud Army veteran. I’ve lived my life focused on public service and bettering the community around me. Like many who run for office, I never made calculations throughout my life based on how they would play politically.

“Despite my lifetime of fighting for conservative causes and defending the Constitution, my conservatism is wrongly being called into question by my political opponents for political reasons. From my time at Pepperdine Law School, to clerking for conservative Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito, to defending families in court who wanted to attend church during the pandemic, I have been and always will be a WARRIOR for conservatives.

“As a businessman, I’ve made contributions to many causes and candidates. Ov

er the years, I’ve given more than $20,000 to conservative causes including the Federalist Society, the Heritage Foundation, and Republican congressional candidates.

Just like how Donald Trump gave contributions to Democrats when business associates requested, I did the same thing when my close business associate requested so I could attend a Commander in Chief Forum, that I never even ended up attending. Now that ticket purchase is being used to hurt me politically and to try to discredit a LIFETIME of support for conservative causes and politicians. But I won’t take it laying down.

Not only did I vote for Donald Trump, I am the only candidate in the race who was APPOINTED  by the Trump Administration to serve because of my career and expertise. I am also the ONLY candidate in the race who has gone up against Kamala Harris in court and WON.

“Virginia voters – do not let a one time ticket purchase make you lose sight of the fact that I’m a warrior for conservatism who is the BEST qualified individual in the Attorney General race to take on the executive overreach of the Biden/Harris Administration and to WIN.”

Alyssa Farah, spokesperson for  the White for Attorney General campaign, and former White House Communications Director for President Trump, added, “It is a common practice for men and women in business to contribute to members of both parties.

“Just like President Donald Trump donated to various Democrats as a business man – including Hillary – he entered politics as one of the strongest conservatives in decades and defeated her,” she continued. “Jack White made business contributions to Republicans and Democrats and then defeated Kamala Harris in court and is excited to defeat the Democrats liberal agenda this November.”

Jack White, who is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and Pepperdine Law School where he served as editor-in-chief of the Pepperdine Law Review, is a lawyer, ordained minister, and Army veteran. He was tapped by the Trump administration to confront sexual assault in the U.S. Army, and has offered congressional testimony before the House Armed Services Committee and the Senate Judiciary Committee.

He is active in the community serving as a board member for the Virginia Chamber of Commerce, the National Military Family Association, and Mother Assisted Nutritive Aid. He is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, the Chairman’s Advisory Council of the American Red Cross, and is Chairman of the Tower Club in Tysons Corner, and has chaired the Fairfax County Public Schools Education Foundation.
