VFRW 2020 Convention Postponed
Press release from Mary Franklin, President of the Virginia Federation of Republican Women….
We are facing a situation like we have never seen in our lifetime. Today we are under a National State of Emergency (Presidents Proclamation of Declaring National Emergency) and a Virginia State of Emergency (Virginia Governor Declaration of State of Emergency). During the past week, much has happened that affects our lives.
Earlier in March we sent out a Call to Convention. The schedule and place designated were April 18-19 in Lynchburg at Liberty University and the Kirkley Hotel.
Our first priority is the health and safety of our members. With that in mind and the projected extension of the emergency, our VFRW Executive Committee held a conference call and voted unanimously to take emergency action to POSTPONE the 2020 VFRW Convention.
As we work through options to present to the Board of Directors, we ask for your patience. There are many factors to consider, including Bylaws requirements and contracts.
We will let you know as soon as we can. Thank you for your support and patience.
Personally praying for your health and safety.
