Tim Parrish Announces For PWC GOP Chairman

With current chairman Bill Card not seeking another term as Prince William County Chairman, local businessman and Marine Corps veteran Tim Parrish announced today his entrance into the race. He is expected to address the PWCGOP at the committee meeting this evening at 7:30 at Benton Middle School.

Parrish joins William Johnstone in the race, who previously announced his third attempt for PWCGOP Chair. Speculation on other candidates ran rampant for several months after it became known that Chairman Card wasn’t running again, with names including former Del. Rich Anderson (who is instead running for RPV Chairman) and Young Republican Chairman Ben Hazekamp. However, the field appears set between Johnstone and Parrish.

The election for Chairman will occur at the Prince William County Convention, held on Saturday, March 28th, at Osbourn Park High School in Manassas. Parrish’s press release is below:

Tim Parrish Announces Campaign for Prince William Republican Chairman

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA – Marine Corps veteran and Woodbridge small business owner Tim Parrish today announced his candidacy for Chairman of the Prince William County Republican Committee. Parrish is a staunch conservative who believes in individual liberty, free market enterprise, fiscal restraint, the Second Amendment, and the sanctity of human life.

As Virginia Republicans set out to re-elect President Trump and Congressman Rob Wittman, and defeat Rep. Jennifer Wexton, Rep. Gerry Connolly, and Senator Mark Warner this year, the Prince William Republican Committee needs a chairman that has the energy and strategic leadership experience to grow the Party in this important bellwether county.

“In the face of Democratic extremism coming from the McCoart Building with our Board of Supervisors, and from Richmond with our Governor and State Legislature, we must fight back using innovative grassroots strategies,” said Tim Parrish. “We Republicans don’t need to change our values or principles, but we must change the way we organize, engage voters, and operate our campaigns. If we don’t, we will continue to lose. I look forward to using my leadership experience, new ideas, and passion for conservatism to help grow our local Party into a machine that will reach new voters, turn-out conservatives, and help us get back to winning elections.”

If elected Chair, Tim will focus on Committee volunteer recruitment and team building, fundraising, strategic partnerships, and aggressive coalition-building and community outreach.

The election for Committee Chairman will take place at the Quadrennial Convention of the Prince William County Republican Committee on Saturday, March 28th at Osbourn Park Senior High School. Current Chairman Bill Card is term-limited and cannot seek re-election.

Parrish lives in Woodbridge and operates a security consulting company that assists businesses, houses of worship, and other organizations with safety and security policy, but he originally grew up in the suburbs of Orlando, Florida. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Marine Corps. During his eight years of active duty service, Tim served in an array of global and domestic assignments, including with the Marine Corps Embassy Security Group, and as a part of the enlisted staff at The Basic School on Quantico. Tim was stationed in Virginia in 2013 and was honorably discharged from the Marines in June of 2019.”
