Ferris: Why I Will Write In Chris Peace
As promised, and serving as the motivation behind the story, this is a letter from one of the folks who have started The 97th HOD Republican Citizens Write-In Revolution of 2019. Letter-writer Kate Ferris is a candidate for the New Kent County Board of Supervisors, District 2.
I am writing in CHRIS PEACE on my ballot in November because I was taught that every vote counts and I want to prove to this district that what I was taught is true.
I am writing in CHRIS PEACE because we should never settle for, or tolerate, the disenfranchisement of 2,448 voters by tossing out their ballots.
I am writing in CHRIS PEACE because our representatives are supposed to listen to us, and every single encounter I have had with Chris has shown that he was interested and focused on what I had to say.
I am writing in CHRIS PEACE because he has shown his honesty and integrity in the face of adversity and we need more people like that in our government.
I am writing in CHRIS PEACE because he has shown that he can work across the aisle while still supporting his own values and those of his constituents, and that is how our government is supposed to work.
I am writing in CHRIS PEACE because it’s the right thing to do
