Tonight: RISE Candidate Debate in Waynesboro

Friday will feature the RISE candidate debate at Waynesboro High School. Beginning at 6:00 and running for two hours, it will feature Staunton-Waynesboro-Augusta County candidates running for two House of Delegates districts that cover this area — the 20th and 25th — and the 24th State Senate district.

The grassroots bipartisan event that includes voter registration prior to the debate will bring the community up close and personal with those who are running to represent them — Republicans, Democrats, and Independents:

-State Senate 24: Incumbent State Senator Emmett Hanger (R) and Annette Hyde (D)

-House of Delegates 20: Jennifer Lewis (D)

-House of Delegates 25: Jennifer Kitchen (D), and Janice Allen (I)

Other candidates who will be able to address the audience are:

-House of Delegates 24: Christian Worth (D)

-Augusta County Clerk of Court: Lauren Griffin (I)

-Augusta County Supervisor (Wayne District): Scott Seaton (R)
