Supervisor Carolyn Bragg Announces for Augusta Clerk of Court

The first candidate has announced for the Clerk of Court race in Augusta County with the retirement of current Clerk Carol Brydge that was announced on Monday.

Supervisor Carolyn Bragg (R-South River) sent out a press release announcing her intention to run which would mean she would not run for re-election of her supervisor seat that is up in November.

Carolyn Bragg, member of the Augusta County Board of Supervisors, has announced her intent to run for the position of Clerk of Court, following the retirement announcement of current Clerk, Carol Brydge.

Mrs. Bragg has served on the Board of Supervisors for the past five years, representing the South River District. During this time, she has worked on many initiatives and projects for the betterment of the citizens of Augusta County. Mrs. Bragg has been selected to serve as vice-chair three times and as Chairman of the Board in 2016.

Mrs. Bragg has also served on the Board of the Augusta County Service Authority for the past five years. Additionally, she has been a member of numerous other committees and represents Augusta County on several other boards, such as the Shenandoah Valley Partnership.

Mrs. Bragg brings over 17 years of successful small business ownership and management experience to this position.

Mrs Bragg lives in Stuarts Draft, with her husband and son. She is very active in her community, coordinating the SD Christmas parade, working with the local Ruritans, and Blue Ridge Soap Box Derby. She has also been involved with Cub Scouts, school organizations, local festivals, business associations, and more.
